A delicious and crispy Swiss-style potato rosti baked in the oven, perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. This version is made with simple ingredients and can be topped with sour cream and chives for extra flavor.

Ingredients

- Garlic PowderTo taste
- 1/2 tspChili PepperHalf a teaspoon, adjust to taste
- FlourAll-purpose flour
- Grated ParmigianoGrated Parmesan cheese

Method
- Peel the potatoes and grate them finely. Rinse the grated potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch, then squeeze out as much water as possible.
- In a bowl, combine the grated potatoes with garlic powder, chili (to taste), flour, grated Parmesan, salt, pepper, and about 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well with a spoon, then use your hands to ensure even distribution.
- Lightly oil a baking sheet. Use a round cookie cutter (or similar mold) placed on the sheet to shape the rosti. Fill the mold with the potato mixture, pressing lightly. Remove the mold and repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) until golden brown and crispy, about 20–25 minutes.
- Optional: Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of chopped chives.
