Ingredients

- 60 gButterSoftened, used for greasing pan, dough, and topping
- 6 tbspFlourAll-purpose flour

- 1 pcsYeastBaking powder (16g packet)
- 1 pcsLemonZest and juice
- AmarettiCrushed, for lining the pan and topping
- Zucchero per la superficie(optional) — For sprinkling on top before baking
Method
- Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core, and slice them irregularly.
- Butter a cake pan and sprinkle with crushed amaretti.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour and sugar (6 tablespoons each).
- Add the eggs (2) and the grated lemon zest. Mix.
- Add the butter in small pieces and combine.
- Add the apples and yeast, gently mixing with a wooden spoon from bottom to top.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and level it.
- Top with sugar, crushed amaretti, and small pieces of butter.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Serve optionally with a scoop of ice cream.
