A delicious puff pastry roll filled with smoked salmon and Grana Padano cheese, baked golden, served with a creamy fondue made from cream and Grana Padano, perfect for Christmas celebrations.

Ingredients
7 items- Smoked Salmonthinly sliced
- Puff Pastry2 sheets
- Grana Padanograted, for filling and fondue
- Lemon Zestto taste
- Black Pepperto taste
- Creamfor the fondue, equal parts with cheese
- Chiveschopped, for garnish
Method
- Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips.
- Prick the puff pastry sheet with a fork.
- Arrange the salmon strips over the entire surface of the pastry.
- Add a generous grating of Grana Padano, lemon zest, and black pepper.
- Place another layer of puff pastry on top, add more smoked salmon, then roll it up tightly.
- Cut the rolled pastry into regular cylinders.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on them as oven temperatures vary.
- In a small saucepan, combine equal parts cream and grated Grana Padano to make a fondue. Add pepper and lemon zest.
- To serve, place the pastry rolls on a plate, pour a generous amount of the fondue over them, and garnish with chopped chives.
