Ingredients
9 items- 200 gProsciutto di Carpegna DOPThinly sliced
- Fresh FigsFresh figs, about 4–6 depending on size
- Caprino (Formaggio di Capra)Fresh goat cheese
- ThymeFresh thyme, a few sprigs
- Lemon ZestZest of one lemon
- SaltTo taste
- Black PepperTo taste
- Extra Virgin Olive OilExtra virgin olive oil, for drizzling and in the cream
- WaterA small splash to soften the cream
Method
- Cut the figs into quarters. Place them on a baking sheet, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and drizzle with oil. Bake at 180-190°C (350-375°F) for 5-10 minutes until tender.
- In a bowl, combine goat cheese, fresh thyme, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of oil. Add a small amount of water to soften the mixture. Mix well until smooth.
- Transfer the cream into a piping bag and refrigerate until needed.
- Assemble the dish: arrange slices of Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP on a plate. Top with the baked figs and pipe or dollop the goat cheese cream on top. Serve immediately.
