Pan dei morti are soft Lombard biscuits traditionally prepared for All Saints' and All Souls' Day. Made with almonds, raisins, dried figs, cocoa, and spices, they have an oval shape and are often enjoyed as a sweet snack.

Method
- Blend the savoiardi (ladyfingers) and amaretti biscuits with a mixer.
- Blend the sugar, dried figs, almonds, raisins, unsweetened cocoa, cinnamon, and nutmeg with the mixer.
- Add the flour and baking powder and mix.
- Add the lightly beaten egg whites and the passito wine and combine.
- Transfer the dough onto plastic wrap and shape into a log.
- Wrap with plastic wrap and give it a form.
- Rest in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Cut the log and with wet hands shape into an elongated oval.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes.
