A quick and easy homemade version of the classic Italian Nippon snack: melted milk and dark chocolate mixed with puffed rice, then set and cut into cubes.

Method

  1. Combine milk chocolate, dark chocolate, butter, and honey in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Melt everything together using a bain-marie (double boiler), stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and add the puffed rice; mix well to coat evenly.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a square container (or a ring mold) and level it with a spatula.
  5. Let it cool completely, then set in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  6. Once firm, remove the ring if using, and cut the block into small cubes with a knife.
