Sweet and sour pork with peppers and onion, an Asian-inspired dish. Marinated pork fillet is stir-fried with crunchy vegetables and a tangy soy-vinegar sauce.

- 1 pcsRed Bell Pepperred bell pepper
- 2 pcsYellow Bell Pepperyellow bell pepper
- 1 pcsGreen Bell Peppergreen bell pepper
- 1 pcsWhite Onionwhite onion
- 2 tbspPeanut Oilpeanut oil
- 1 tbspCornstarchcornstarch
- Rice Vinegarrice vinegar, to taste
- Soy Saucesoy sauce (preferably Kikkoman), to taste
- Spring Onionspring onion, chopped (for marinade and garnish)
- Black Sesame Seeds(optional) — black sesame seeds, for garnish
- Riso Bianco(optional) — white rice, boiled, to serve
- Saltsalt, a pinch
Method
- Clean the pork fillet by removing any white, fatty or sinewy parts.
- Prepare the marinade: mix rice vinegar, soy sauce, chopped spring onion, and one tablespoon of cornstarch.
- Add the meat to the marinade and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut the red, yellow, and green bell peppers into even cubes, and slice the white onion.
- Heat peanut oil in a wok, add the onion and peppers with a pinch of salt, and stir-fry until crisp-tender.
- Add the marinade along with the meat and cook for another two minutes, stirring.
- Serve with warm boiled white rice.
