A creamy and smooth chickpea hummus, perfect for aperitivo. Naturally gluten-free. Made with simple ingredients like canned chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and smoked paprika.

Ingredients

- 5 tbspOlive Oil
- 1 tspSalt
- 3 tbspTahini
- 1 tspPaprika affumicata
- 1 pcsIce1-2 cubes
- Toasted Breadas needed
Method
- Rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water and remove their skins by rubbing them gently in a clean cloth or between your hands. (Removing the skins is optional but yields a smoother texture.)
- Place the peeled chickpeas into a blender. Add half a clove of garlic, the juice of half a lemon, 5 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of tahini, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1-2 ice cubes.
- Blend on high speed until the hummus is very smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.
- Decorate with a drizzle of olive oil, a few whole chickpeas, and a sprinkle of smoked paprika.
- Serve with toasted bread (gluten-free if needed). Enjoy!
