Reviewers rave about Vito & Nick's legendary Italian beef sandwich, praising its juicy, seasoned meat and crusty roll. The overall vibe is a no-frills, beloved Chicago institution serving hearty, satisfying classics.

I really actually like the crust pieces of the pizza because you get that extra crispier edge. Immediately you get that beefy flavor from that braised Italian beef — the seasonings, the spices, the herbs in there. Oh, that's delicious as well. I don't know, that roast beef — another combination. One of the things I love about the pizza they make is you can really vibrantly taste a different topping here — noticeably, like makes a huge difference. Every bite can be a little bit different.

    Loved

Vito & Nick's Pizzeria is a legendary South Chicago institution renowned for its paper-thin, crispy crust pizzas, especially the sausage and giardiniera variety, and its house-made Italian beef.

That crust is amazing — look how thin it is. I take two slices at once for my first taste. That is a wonderful crunch. The sausage is incredible, I love the sauce — really tart, with oregano seasoning. The dough is extremely crispy, almost crackery. The saltiness is perfect, especially with the sausage, which they make in-house. And the giardiniera — those pickled peppers with carrots and onions — they add so much flavor, that briny saltiness and acidity that contrasts the cheese and tomato sauce. It's a perfect balance of flavor and crispiness. My first ever taste of Chicago thin crust, and I love it.

    • Tomato Basil Spinach Pizza

This is Miss Rose's favorite that she recommended. I go for a center piece for the first time. I'm telling you, it is phenomenal. It's the garlic — that poof of garlic — and then the basil that really comes out nicely. It has an added juiciness because of the tomatoes, how it just bursts in your mouth with this juicy, tomatoey, basil poof. It's so cool because you get so many toppings on such a thin crust that you can just keep on eating, and it's just so much flavor and fresh topping — not sitting in a dry freezer forever.
