AI summary of what 5 dish mentions say about the food
Reviewers rave about the pillowy Maritozzo con panna at this Roman spot, calling it a perfect, cloud-like indulgence. The overall vibe is one of humble, irresistible comfort.
“€3 for this. I asked for just cream, no cream and custard — the traditional Roman maritozzo should only have cream. It's round, not elongated, but still. The pastry color is nice, the cream is like the one from when I was a child — sugary, sweet. The dough is very good, similar to the Veneziana. These pastries are incredible — a step back in time. I haven't had such good traditional bakery sweets in a long time.”

Panino di lingua con salsa verde
This cost €6.50. The bread is clearly quality, a nice ciabatta, well-baked. The filling of tongue, celery root, and salsa verde is just right — satisfying bite, good tongue, good salsa verde, the celery root gives it a nice kick. It's a well-made, well-conceived sandwich. It brings me back to Rome. I don't question the quality, but I'm still doubtful about the cost — I think it's €0.50 too much.
Tramezzino con insalata russa
€3.50 for this tramezzino. The bread is beautiful — artisanal, tall, spongy, like a cloud. The Russian salad inside has big vegetables that crunch under the tooth, a nice yellow mayonnaise, not that industrial white stuff. It's a great tramezzino, a bit bland, but a great tramezzino. I'd give it 8.5 or 9 out of 10 at €3.
- Maritozzo
Ciabatta romana alla crema
€3 for this. It's called a ciavattone, but it's more like a little slipper — it should be bigger. But it's delicious. The cream tastes strongly of egg, the pastry is incredible — one of the best I've ever had, even if it's not as caramelized as I like. The sugar coating is nice. It's so good I'd consider putting it in my top three Roman ciavattone. Worth the €3.
