AI summary of what 6 dish mentions say about the food
Reviewers rave about Trapizzino’s Supplì classico, a crispy, molten rice ball that steals the show. The overall vibe is rustic, hearty Roman street food executed with soulful precision.
“The supplì looks really golden and you can smell the tomato through the breading — the fryer is working well, the oil seems decent. A bit of grease on the fingers, but acceptable. The mozzarella pulls a little, but unfortunately it's cold in the center. The rice is a bit hard to chew. When you get a bite with the meat, tomato, and mozzarella, it's a real pleasure on the tongue. Too bad it's cold inside — probably pre-fried and reheated in the oven. Overall, for €2.50 in Milan, it's a steal.”

Trapizzino is a great spot for an aperitivo with excellent street food, especially the chicken trapizzino, but the supplì were served cold in the center and the place feels a bit cluttered and identity-crisis between bar and restaurant.

Trapizzino Bollito di Manzo Ripassato con Cipolla, Pomodoro e Pepe
I really like this pocket, the dough work is incredible — soft in the right spots, crunchy in the right spots. It's tender. It tastes like a beef stew, obviously, with tomato that comes and goes — it's so homogeneous that even a kid could eat it. I expected something strong and difficult, but it's super good, super interesting. Same serving temperature as the chicken.
Trapizzino Polpetta al Pomodoro
This one seems fuller than the others — maybe because the meatball is bigger. Look at the stretch of this dough. I thought it would explode, but it all stayed in. There's a little comb of tomato on top, lots of meat inside. It's a genius concept — a tomato meatball in a pizza pocket. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Incredible. Just come and try it.
Trapizzino Zighinì Spezzatino di Manzo
Wow! This reminds me a lot of a classic braised beef with some spices — maybe wine, cinnamon. It's very fragrant, much warmer than the others. Generous in size. I expected it softer, more stewed. It's spicy, but easily bearable for anyone. The spiciness is not aggressive, not arrogant — it says 'I'm here,' accompanies you the whole time, but it's elegant. Great balance. Compliments to whoever made it. Good, good, good.
