Reviewers praise the Millefoglie as the star, with its delicate, buttery layers earning rave notices. The overall vibe is one of refined, old-world pastry craftsmanship that feels both indulgent and warmly inviting.

I'm having the legendary millefoglie from Pasticceria Perbellini. It's a classic puff pastry with their special crema strin inside — a milk and egg cream made fresh on the spot, so it's super fresh and melts quickly, you have to eat it fast. Between the layers of pastry and cream there's also some crumbled amaretto. The cream is really a mousse, very light but dense, with a strong amaretto flavor. The pastry is good, the cream is light and good, but it doesn't leave a strong impression on me — it reminds me a lot of a classic millefoglie with chantilly cream and amaretto. You can tell it's a dessert with a lot of history behind it. It cost €4, worth the stop for the Perbellini history.
