Old Wild West's One Piece menu was a decent marketing attempt, but the burger didn't wow me — the bacon was too crunchy and the sauce was lost; the donut was good but not worth reordering.
Dishes mentioned
Gum Gum Burger
I ordered the Gum Gum Burger from the One Piece menu. It's a hamburger with melted cheddar, Gomu Gomu sauce, bacon, and lettuce, served with fries and Duel West sauce. The bacon is too crunchy, almost hard. I didn't really taste the Gomu Gomu sauce — it's a mayonnaise-based sauce with cabbage and pickles, but the meat and bread overpower it. The meat has a nice grilled flavor, but overall I prefer the Crispy McBacon for its familiarity. The burger itself is good quality for the price, but the bacon was annoying.
Donut di Chopper
I also tried the Chopper donut: a donut with strawberry-flavored coating, decorated with pink and white mini marshmallows, served with fior di latte ice cream and chocolate topping. There's a lot of chocolate underneath. The donut is good, the ice cream is good, the chocolate is good — but the marshmallows I don't like. It's tasty because it's indulgent, but I wouldn't order it again. The syrup on top is super sweet, like the white syrup you find at Metro.
Korean Fries
I also tried the Korean Fries from the Fries Atelier. They come with cabbage, Korean sauce, and sesame. The fries are thick and good, but for the price they're not incredible. I was a bit disappointed — they didn't look like the picture.
