The story

Meat Crew on Viale Bligny has become a go‑to for American‑style comfort food in Milan. The smash burgers are the star—creator Restory Food praises their “perfectly crunchy meat and creamy sauces.” Equally impressive is the Chicken Supreme, which Mochohf describes as “super crunchy fried chicken” with bacon jam in a brioche bun. Limited‑edition collections, like the pizza‑themed lineup and the Doritos collaboration, keep the menu inventive.

The experience comes with a higher price tag—Giovanni Fois notes it can be expensive, though quality remains solid. Still, creator sandrino calls it “the best hamburger in Milan,” pointing to a lineup that extends past smash burgers to pastrami, chimichangas, and ultra‑crispy fries. It’s a high‑energy spot that balances playful experimentation with satisfying, savory classics.

What diners say

Synthesized from 28 Google reviews · tap an aspect for the detail

Diners consistently praise the high-quality sandwiches and burgers, particularly the Oklahoma burger and Tokyo Unc, along with the friendly service and free sauce refills. While the food is widely enjoyed, some feel the prices are steep for the portion sizes, and a few note the lack of menu customization.

Sandwich and Burger Quality

The sandwiches and burgers are repeatedly described as delicious, with standout items like the Oklahoma burger and the Tokyo Unc. The meat is often noted as melt-in-mouth, and the buns are soft, making for a satisfying American-style treat.

Service and Staff

Staff are frequently described as kind, friendly, and welcoming, with fast service even during busy times. The quick turnaround and helpful attitude contribute to a positive dining experience.

Fries and Sides

Fries are generally praised as amazing, though a few reviews mention they can sometimes be undercooked or hard. Sides like Mocho's bites receive mixed feedback, with some finding them bland.

Value for Money

Several diners feel the prices are high relative to portion sizes, especially for burgers. While some consider the quality justifies the cost, others think comparable food can be found for less elsewhere.

Menu Customization Policy

A recurring point of frustration is the no-modification policy, which prevents diners from customizing orders (e.g., removing cheese). This has led to disappointment for those with dietary preferences or restrictions.

Ambiance and Decor

The venue is described as well-decorated with a nice American-style atmosphere. The decor and ample seating create a pleasant environment for dining.

AI summary of what 56 dish mentions say about the food

The chili dog earns relentless praise for its juicy snap and bold, meaty chili, while the overall vibe is pure, unpretentious comfort food done right.

The Chili Dog is more substantial than the Coney Dog. It's a 4.5 out of 5 for me — it's richer and more filling.

I don't know which of the two I prefer, because this one is really good and full of flavors, but this one is just comfort. Obviously the chili dog is a bit banal, sorry Jay, but I have a passionate love for my chili, the one with Monster inside. You can taste the Monster mango. This industrial secret could be told. There are big chunks of jalapeño here. I saw his test. He said it was nicely spicy. And Madonna, it doesn't seem like it to me. So I won't taste it, bro.

This is a hot dog stuffed with chili. It's a dachshund because it's long and low. My only experience with chili dogs was from a cart in New York — this is 20 times better. It costs 20 times more, but it's 20 times better. It's very cheesy — the strongest flavour is the cheddar because there's a ton of it inside this open hot dog. Very good. I'd eat three, and I'm not a big hot dog fan. It's very balanced and not too violent in flavours considering it's a hot dog — usually they're unbalanced somewhere. This is mega chill. The only issue is you can't bite it too hard or it falls apart. It's good, but basic — nothing that creates a big contrast. Very good though.

MANGIO TUTTE le NOVITÀ del MENÙ del FAST FOOD di MOCHO!! · @ 0:28

    Loved

Mocho is a must-visit every time I'm in Milan — the New York Collection is incredible, with creative takes on American classics and a real passion behind every dish.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Mocho Bites

These new Mocho Bites have a different breading now — they added corn flour to the panko, so you get this extra crispy texture with a beautiful speckled look. I dip them in the sauce and honestly, they were already good before, but now they're even better. The real kick is the jalapeño inside. I'd give them a 4.5 out of 5 — almost perfect.

    • Spicy Fries

These Spicy Fries are loaded with cheese sauce, burger sauce, grilled onions, and jalapeño. The jalapeño is a game changer — it's not just spicy, it has that recognizable green bell pepper flavor with a little heat. The fries don't get soggy even with all that stuff on top, which I really appreciate. I'd give them a 4 out of 5, but my favorite loaded fries are still the Chili Cheese ones — those are almost a 5.

    • Spicy Burger

This is our version of the Seven Street Burger spicy one. The smash patty has this incredible crust — not too thick, just a perfect crisp. The grilled onion adds sweetness, and the jalapeño works perfectly with the burger sauce which has a more acidic profile. I think this might be in my top three burgers here. It's simple but the flavor is complete and crazy good.

    • Meatball Sandwich

This Meatball Sandwich uses Beyond Meat meatballs, so it's not real meat. It has a marinara sauce with onion, garlic, thyme, basil, and parmesan. You can really taste the Beyond Meat flavor. I'm not a fan of saucy sandwiches, so it's not my thing — I'd give it a 3 out of 5. It's good, but I'd order something else.

    • Coney Dog

This is the Coney Dog, inspired by Nathan's at Coney Island. It's simple — ketchup, mustard, onion, pickles. The sausage is grilled, not boiled. Sometimes you just need ketchup and mustard, it brings you back to where you were happy. You could easily eat two of these and feel light. I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

MANGIO TUTTO il NUOVO MENÙ del FAST FOOD di MOCHO!! · @ 0:19

    Loved

Mocho has completely renewed its menu with new burgers, hot dogs, and desserts, and I'm impressed by the quality and research behind each dish. The tenders are juicy, the hot dog is excellent, and the chili is a masterpiece. The only flaw is the donut, which I would have liked with more glaze.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Tenders

These tenders are juicy and I love that the breading stays well attached. Good study. The sauce is inspired by Raising Cane's, I have to admit. I really like that it's a bit spicy and peppery, it tingles your whole mouth and anesthetizes you well. But the chicken doesn't beat Jollibee's, it beats Popeyes'.

    • Smash Burger con Barbecue e Coleslaw

The barbecue is really infesting, I have to say. But I can tell you people are a bit right. It's good. I love the barbecue to death, but always a big applause to the smash. The coleslaw actually dampens it a lot, it turns it off immediately. There's less of it, eh. If you loved barbecue sauce, what a burger it would be. It would be perfect.

    • Hot Dog Artigianale con American Cheese

This hot dog is really good, I swear without even joking. The quality of this hot dog. I swear. If we have this, it's the knockout blow. And how do I do now? What if I think it sucks? I can't even say it because it's Jay's favorite. There's American cheese here too. Mocho is vicious, he really doesn't want to stop for anything.

    • Chili Dog

I don't know which of the two I prefer, because this one is really good and full of flavors, but this one is just comfort. Obviously the chili dog is a bit banal, sorry Jay, but I have a passionate love for my chili, the one with Monster inside. You can taste the Monster mango. This industrial secret could be told. There are big chunks of jalapeño here. I saw his test. He said it was nicely spicy. And Madonna, it doesn't seem like it to me. So I won't taste it, bro.

    • Fried Chicken alla Coreana con Buffalo Sauce

This is fried chicken, but Korean style. Made with buffalo sauce which is a vinegar-based sauce, butter and this spicy sauce also slightly with coleslaw, pickles and pepper mayonnaise. This is not a thigh. It's a whole breast. I don't regret the thigh so much. Very good. Honestly, it's also helped a lot by the creaminess of the sauces etc. Good, good. Also our buffalo sauce we make it. What do you expect, that I put store-bought buffalo sauce?

    Loved

Meat Crew by Mocho has improved a lot since my last visit — it's one of the best places in Milan for smash burgers, and the chicken items and the Oreo milkshake with bacon are the highlights.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Bacon Supreme

This is a double smash with cheddar, two huge slices of bacon, lots of pickles, avocado, mustard and ketchup. It's very ketchupy and the pickle comes through strong. If you like that, you like it. I love it — it's melty, it's porco in the mouth. Very balanced, very simple, good in its simplicity, but it didn't give me the wow effect. I'd eat four of these in a row. It melts in your mouth, the sauces don't overpower the meat and the bun, which is a problem I often have. It's changed a lot since the last time I had it. I thought it would be much more patocco, but instead the flavours come through. There's a cohesion problem though.

    • Chicken Supreme

This has the same bacon jam as the fries, a yellow sauce I don't know, and the chicken looks beautiful. Very simple, but this could be amazing. Holy cow, this is incredible. This is one of the best chicken burgers I've had in recent times. The chicken is really good and the sauce is out of this world. I don't even know. If before I'd eat four, of this I'd eat seven. Seven is a lot. The sauce gives it a kick, it's devastating.

    • Supreme Fries

These are the loaded fries from the Bacon Supreme Series, with a bacon jam that they told us is a bacon and raspberry jam, a bit spicy. It's incredible. These are the best loaded fries I've ever eaten in my life. The potato itself is really good — even without seasoning they'd be good. Good potato.

    • Mac and Cheese Burger

This has mac and cheese inside, double smash, bacon, pickles and a burger sauce that's a bit peppery. It reminds me a lot of that mac and cheese we ate at the barbecue in Texas — same vibes. It's very soft, the mac and cheese isn't clumpy, it's smooth. The only problem is it adds thickness to the burger, so if you take a big bite it stays in your mouth for a week and a half because you have to chew the mac and cheese. But it doesn't taste bad at all. I'd eat four of these. The last time I came here I complained it was too salty, but now it's much less salty and I really appreciate that — it's balanced. Perfect.

    • Oklahoma Burger

This is the same as the Bacon Supreme but with bacon jam. It's much less basic than the first one — you really taste the jam. But this one is a bit too salty. Here we found the flaw. It's very good, but it's heavy on the salt. I think it's the jam plus the bacon that makes it so salty. I'd still eat five of these even if I suffer from thirst all night. It reminds me of a Crispy but improved — though that has nothing to do with it. My taste buds are demolished. It's a bit too much salt.

PROVO il MENÙ a TEMA PIZZA di MEAT CREW di MOCHO · @ 0:00

    Loved

Meat Crew by Mocho is a solid fast-food spot with a fun limited-edition pizza-themed menu; the Pepperoney and Bacon Dogs are highlights, while the Chicken Rony and Marinara Fries are less impressive.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Pizza
    • Marinara Fries

The fries themselves are incredible — super crunchy, with the skin on. But the marinara sauce is very oily, very American style. Compared to the bacon jam fries from last time, these are way inferior. The sauce doesn't really work with the potato for me.

    • Pepperoney

Very good, but something is missing. It's very pizza-like, very balanced in flavours — nothing that stands out crazily. The mozzarella is a hit, it's the thing I taste the most. With the honey it gets even better — the honey works great on this sandwich, unlike on the fries. I'd get this again.

    • Chicken Rony

The chicken is a hit, but something doesn't convince me 100%. With the sauce it reminds me too much of the 'pizza cotoletta' frozen thing from the supermarket — maybe that's not a good thing. The chicken is delicate, and the beef smash version feels more full. It's missing cheese.

    • Bacon Dog OG

This is a big hot dog with cheddar and bacon on top. It looks great. Compared to the chili one, this is much better, much simpler. Fucking good! I didn't think I'd rave about a hot dog, but I did. I'd eat this gladly.

PROVO il MENÙ CHEAT MEAL di MEAT CREW di MOCHO · @ 1:11

    Loved

Meat Crew's food truck at Rimini Wellness serves solid smash burgers and creative sandwiches, with the Tokyo Ank being a standout for its freshness and value, while the Tamago Sandwich is interesting but structurally flawed.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Tokyo Ank

This is the Tokyo Ank, a smash burger with beef, American cheese, coleslaw, pepper mayo, and teriyaki sauce. It smells great and tastes incredibly fresh, especially for being from a food truck at a fair. The coleslaw is amazing, super fresh, and the teriyaki helps balance everything. The pepper mayo is there but not too strong, the cheese is always good, and the meat is the usual Mocho quality. For a food truck working at high speed, it holds up really well. It's a bit less smashed than usual, but they're cranking out burgers fast — I ordered and got everything in 3 minutes. I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10 overall, but considering it's at a fair and costs less than in Milan, it's a 9.5. I'd definitely come back for this one.

    • Tamago Sandwich

The Tamago Sandwich has an egg salad with pepper mayo and a whole boiled egg inside. It's a bit messy — the egg and mayo are slippery, so the filling tends to escape. The bread and egg are prominent, but the sauce is scarce unless you hit the right spot. When I got some sauce, it was much better, very peppery. It's a nice stylistic exercise, interesting, but if I had to choose between the two, the Tokyo is clearly superior. It's a bit small for a cheat meal, but you could eat two or three. I'd give it a 7 out of 10, or 7.5 considering the fair context.

    Loved

Meat Crew serves incredible smash burgers with crunchy meat and creamy sauces, worth every cent.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Bacon Supreme Collection

I tried the Bacon Supreme Collection, which comes with two burgers and fries. The fries have a bacon jam and bacon aioli — they're really flavourful and a bit spicy. I've never seen fries like this before. The first smash burger has a double beef patty, American cheese, bacon, bacon jam, and bacon aioli. The meat and bacon are super crunchy, but the sauces make it creamy and the flavour is incredible. I almost feel bad leaving it half-eaten. The second one has fried chicken tenders, bacon, bacon jam, and bacon aioli. The chicken tenders are really juicy, and the overall taste is very similar to the first one. It's also dripping a bit. I finished it while asking you in the comments if you've ever tried a smash burger.

TUTTA LA PIZZA COLLECTION DI MOCHOHF · @ 0:00

    Loved

Mocho is a unique spot in Milan with a strong identity — their Pizza Collection is incredible, especially the Smash burger with melt-in-your-mouth meat, and the Ciccheroni chicken sandwich is perfectly balanced.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Ciccheroni

This is the Ciccheroni: fried chicken, pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, hot honey sauce, and parsley. The bread is like an artisan Martin's roll — super soft and melts in your mouth, but it still has structure, it doesn't turn into mush. The chicken stayed crunchy even after 10 minutes in the bag, and inside it's tender and juicy. You immediately get that marinara flavour from the sauce with parsley, and I also taste a little garlic. The pepperoni isn't aggressive, and the honey balances everything. It's exactly how I imagined it. The spiciness is just right, very Italian-style — not overwhelming, just enjoyable.

    • Pizza
    • Strappa Codi Esperienza Come Il Fast Food

These are fries with the same marinara sauce. I love the colour and consistency of the sauce — it's not just tomato sauce thrown on top, it's well-cooked, seasoned with garlic, oil, and other stuff, then blended to give it this thick consistency. The flavour is much more marinara than the pizza balls, and you really taste the garlic here. It's like an Italian marinara, not a non-Italian one. And they're generously coated.

    • Smash Pizza Collection

This is the Smash from the Pizza Collection. It weighs like 18 kg! Look how messy it is — perfect smash, not too aggressive but completely homogeneous. The meat is incredible — it melts in your mouth, you can pull it apart with no effort. It's pure America. The mozzarella balances all the sweet, tomato, and spicy flavours. If you ask me which one I prefer between the Ciccheroni and this, I'd say the meat one — the meat really makes the difference. Look, I'm not even pulling hard and the meat just comes apart. It's insane, I can't stop eating it.

    IL FAST FOOD DI MOCHO È UNA DELUSIONE ? · @ 2:43

    Loved

Mocho is a solid fast food joint in Milan, serving American-style smash burgers and comfort food; it's expensive but the quality is good, though a bit salty this time.

    Dishes mentioned

    • Crispy Double Smash

This is a really good burger. The smash is perfect, the bacon is thick and there's a lot of it, the crispy onions and sauce work well. The bun is buttery and a bit firm on the outside, which I like less than a soft bun, but overall it's a solid smash burger. I'd give it a high score.

    • Mac and Cheese Burger

This burger has mac and cheese inside, plus a lot of onions. It's really good, but as I eat more I find it quite salty. I need to drink a lot. The mac and cheese is one of the best things tonight, together with the fries.

    • Chicken Parm

This chicken parm looks good, with provola and a big chicken breast. It's really tasty, the chicken is undeniable. I like it a lot.

    • Bacon Cheese Dog

This hot dog is all cheese, I barely taste the sausage. But in America when we ate it, it was always just cheese and chili on top. It's okay, but I wouldn't come here just for the hot dog.

    • Patatine Fritte

The fries are super crunchy, fragrant, devastating. They're a bit oily but I love them. They're one of the best things tonight.
