AI summary of what 9 dish mentions say about the food
Reviewers praise Marzapane’s Toast as a standout, delivering a warm, comforting vibe that feels both simple and elevated. The overall sentiment is one of cozy satisfaction, with the dish earning consistent acclaim.
“This is the best toast I've ever eaten in my life. The bread is perfect — thickness, toasting, everything. It's grilled over embers, which connects to their history with the grill. The cheese is beautifully melted and blends with the mayonnaise, which has a slight mustardy kick. The ham is good but becomes a secondary element after that amazing bread and the creamy combo of cheese and mayo. Absolutely a 10. I'd eat 11 of these.”

Marzapane is a fantastic bakery that transformed from a restaurant, offering incredible laminated pastries and savory dishes like the best toast I've ever had and a definitive lobster roll, all at a very fair price.

Pain au Chocolat
I get a strong butter and chocolate aroma right away. It melts in the mouth, it's moist, and the lamination is perfect — honeycomb structure. Obviously it's not as crunchy as it would have been at 8 or 9 in the morning, since it's almost noon, but the butter quality really comes through. For me it's good, maybe lacking a bit of crunch because we arrived late, but the chocolate veining inside is amazing.
Saint-Honoré
This is super indulgent. The cream is amazing — chocolate and caramel, with a slightly salty note. The bignè is covered in caramel, and the cream is so rich and custardy. For me it's even better than the pain au chocolat, probably because of the vanilla cream — you could really taste the vanilla. So good!
Parigina
This is a brioche dough, not laminated — more classic Italian style. I taste a lot of walnuts. There's a caramelized pecan on top, crunchy and good. Inside there's a sort of mousse, and another cream I didn't recognize — it's white chocolate with caramel and orange. Maybe I didn't taste the white chocolate much because of my ignorance, but the orange gives a nice freshness that cuts through the richness.
Sfogliato al Caffè con Cookie
This one drives me crazy — the acidity with the coffee is amazing. The pastry itself is coffee-flavored, with a cookie inside, and on top there's a coffee cream and a bergamot jelly. The combination of the acid from the bergamot and the coffee is incredible. It reminds me of a friend who makes coffee jam with oranges to balance the acidity. Really good.
Sacher
The Sacher is one of my favorite desserts. This one has apricot on top, I think, and it's the piece with less chocolate — the other one has more chocolate. It's all very good, but I can't really explain why. It's quite heavy on the chocolate, very indulgent. This is the classic thing where if I didn't know what to choose, I'd go for the Sacher because it's always good.
