The story
Tucked away on Corso Moncalieri in Torino, Lentini earns a modest 3.6-star rating from the community, but its devoted following is easy to understand. Local creator Franchino Er Criminale calls it “a solid bakery with excellent doughs,” even if a few items had minor flaws. Tagged as a neighborhood-friendly, casual spot with Italian, bakery, and pizza leanings, it clearly plays in the comfort-food space worth revisiting.
The reviewer gave a thumbs-up to every dish he tried: the Ruota di Carretto Focaccia Pizza with olive, tuna, mozzarella, and tomato; a straightforward Pizza Rossa; an Arancino stuffed with prosciutto cotto and formaggio; and a Diplomatico pastry. For Franchino, the value and quality justify a return visit—and that endorsement speaks louder than the star rating.

AI summary of what 4 dish mentions say about the food
Lentini’s Diplomatico dessert earns rapturous praise, described as a decadent, must-try finale. The overall vibe is one of delighted indulgence, with reviewers calling the food a warm, memorable experience.
“I got a nice diplomatico, clearly homemade, artisanal. The puff pastry is a bit soft, but look at the layering — beautiful, almost like a pan di carmesi, reminds me of zuppa inglese. So you know it's right up my alley. It's good, but the pastry is a bit soft. I think if you eat it right after they make it, it'll blow your mind. Still, it's a 9 out of 10.”

Ruota di Carretto Focaccia Pizza Olive Tonno Mozzarella Pomodoro
This focaccia pizza with olives, tuna, mozzarella, and tomato — I literally fought another customer for the last half wheel. The mozzarella is a bit artificial, but the topping is excellent, the dough is amazing, cooked perfectly. The dough is incredible, I didn't expect it. The topping is fantastic. If only they'd ditch that mozzarella, everything would be perfect. The tomato is well cooked, the tuna and olives give an incredible kick. The appearance doesn't do it justice, but it's a 9 out of 10.
Pizza Rossa
The pizza rossa is well cooked underneath, but the tomato on top is a bit raw — they added extra passata at the end that didn't cook properly. That's a shame because the pizza is good, the dough is excellent, the cooking is splendid. The dough is amazing, compliments to Mr. Lentini. Because of the raw tomato, I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.
Arancino Prosciutto Cotto e Formaggio
I got an arancino with cooked ham and cheese. It's cold, but it's full of cheese, as you can see. The rice seems okay, not mushy, the breading is decent. It's just cold — I wish it were hot. I'd like to come back to try a hot one.
Diplomatico
I got a nice diplomatico, clearly homemade, artisanal. Still, it's a 9 out of 10.
