The Kouign-Amann is a buttery, caramelized marvel, praised as the single must-order dish. Reviewers describe the bakery’s overall vibe as pure, unpretentious bliss for pastry lovers.
“Oh my god, I remember the first time coming to this place and trying this and I basically decided at that moment I need to go to Brittany to try the original. But you know what? Now that I've had it in Brittany and in Montreal, this one literally might be better. At least as good as the ones in Breton. Oh my god, it's just so rich, buttery, sweet, but not crazy. The butter really comes through. It's moist the whole way through. You can kind of tell just how saturated it is. Layer upon layer of flour and butter. Yeah. It's like eating a stick of butter, but in the best way possible. This is for sure a must must try here in Montreal. They close at 3 p.m. So you got to come in the morning. And it is worth it, guys. That is so so good. A little crispy on the outside. It's kind of caramelized. You can see it's got a little crunch on the outside, but then the inside is just pillowy, fluffy. Yum. I think they add a little bit of salt into this one at least because you get a little kind of crunch of salt and it's like perfectly balanced.”

The pastry is described as rich, buttery, sweet yet balanced, moist, and perfectly caramelized with a crispy exterior and a pillowy interior, with a hint of salt that enhances the flavor. It's highlighted as a must-try in Montreal, best enjoyed in the morning before they close at 3 PM.
