The story
IKEA's Woodbridge location offers dining across two levels with decidedly mixed results. Creator Secondo Luca found the upstairs restaurant worth the visit, particularly praising the desserts and lasagna. However, the downstairs bistro disappointed, with poor execution on hot dogs, fries, pizza, and cinnamon rolls. The venue serves traditional Swedish and Italian-inspired fare alongside casual options, making it a convenient stop while shopping—though expectations should be tempered for the lower-level offerings.
The restaurant's menu spans arancini, meatballs, and tiramisu alongside more casual fare, reflecting IKEA's signature affordable approach to dining. While the upstairs delivers on quality, particularly for those with a sweet tooth, the downstairs bistro appears better suited for quick bites than memorable meals. It's a functional dining experience that works best when you know where to focus your appetite.

AI summary of what 10 dish mentions say about the food
The lasagne earns consistent praise, described as surprisingly hearty and comforting. Overall, the food delivers a warm, unpretentious vibe that exceeds expectations for a casual dining spot.
“It looks good aesthetically, it makes me hungry. I don't remember how much we paid, maybe around €4 and something. The layers are there, the craftsmanship is definitely there. The smell isn't bad. It's missing a boost of saltiness. The meat is barely noticeable, but for a 250g portion at €5 it's not bad. There's a lot of béchamel, which makes it super melty compared to the arancino. There's very little meat, but overall it's food I'd gladly eat. Not every day, but once a week for sure. It's made well. I didn't expect it after how we started with the arancino.”

Arancino
This arancino is pretty disappointing. It doesn't have any steam coming off it, and it's objectively very cold in terms of serving temperature. It doesn't have a specific smell. Usually an arancino has a strong identity. The frying oil smell isn't great — I think the oil has been used quite a bit. Inside, it's not stringy, not fluid, and it's cold. It's hard to swallow. Worse than the KFC Doritos collaboration. It just doesn't go down, not even if you paid me. I have to drink something. No, this product is not worth it at all. I think it cost €1.20 or €1.50, but I advise against it. Bad choice. I got fooled by the marketing.

Dolce al Cioccolato
It's beautiful. Smells chocolatey. This is officially illegal. It's delicious, crunchy, sweet, creamy, enveloping, cold — I like chocolate cold. It's really good. Can I say it? Good as hell. I think it's one of the most interesting desserts I've ever eaten. It looks great, it's sweet but not too much. Nice and crunchy.
