AI summary of what 5 dish mentions say about the food

Reviewers rave about the smash burger, calling it a messy, indulgent triumph. The overall vibe is unpretentious and satisfying, perfect for a no-fuss, high-flavor pub meal.

This Smash Burger is huge — one of the biggest I've ever seen. It has two Smash patties with rosanello cheese (60% cow, 40% sheep from Villa Minozzo), an American-style sauce they call 'Laida' (corrupted), crispy smoked bacon, and marinated purple cabbage. The bread is artisanal. The quality of the meat and the whole supply chain is wonderful. It's a real sandwich — big, full, well served. The only small criticism is the cabbage is a bit long, so it drags when you bite. But it's delicious.

    Loved

Arrogant Pub is the best pub in Italy, with incredible cuisine, an endless and important lambic selection, and a cellar that's unique — the sandwiches are iconic, especially the cardoncelli one, and the whole experience is worth the trip.

    Dishes mentioned

    • crocchette di fegato con confettura di mele zenzero

These liver croquettes are buttery and rich — the liver taste is there, it tastes like iron, but it's not aggressive. The apple and ginger jam balances it perfectly. They're all irregular and beautiful. I've never tasted anything like this before.

    • patatine di maiale

These are shredded pork belly, breaded and fried — like a pulled porchetta then fried. The herb mayonnaise with chives is really good, divine. They're incredible.

    • Panino al Camardo (Cardoncelli)

This is the classic sandwich — our sandwich cooked on the braziers, so cardoncelli mushrooms as the base, cooked separately with aromatic oil, smoked scamorza cheese, and a bacon mayonnaise. Around it they put mustard leaves, which are slightly spicy. The bread is homemade. I would easily put this in my top three sandwiches in Italy — it's iconic, worth the trip. The quality of the ingredients and how they're treated is incredible.

    • Pastrami Sandwich

The pastrami sandwich has an Asian salad base of mizuna and tatsoi, pastrami from a farm in Parma that does an incredible job with barbecue, and maple syrup mayonnaise from Brasserie della Fonte. The pastrami is buttery, cooked well, well made — you can see whoever makes it knows what they're doing. But it doesn't give me the wow feeling of the first sandwich. I've had equally good or better pastrami elsewhere. It's a good sandwich with good pastrami.
