7-Jar Apple Cake

A super easy and delicious apple cake made using a yogurt jar as a measure. The secret is to sauté the apples with cinnamon before adding them to the batter for extra flavor and texture.

Ingredients
10 items- Applesabout 3-4 apples, diced
- Buttera knob for sautéing
- Cinnamonto taste
- Egg3 large eggs (implied)
- Sugar2 yogurt jar measures
- Seed Oilvegetable oil, to add in a stream
- Yogurt1 jar (the empty jar used as measure)
- Flour2 yogurt jar measures, sifted
- Potato Starch1 yogurt jar measure, sifted
- 1 pcsBaking Powder1 packet (about 16 g)
Method
- Peel and core the apples. Cut them into cubes about 2 cm in size.
- In a pan, melt a knob of butter and add cinnamon. Sauté the apple cubes until slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with 2 yogurt jar measures of sugar until pale and fluffy (about 10 minutes).
- Gradually add the oil in a thin stream while whisking continuously.
- Add 1 jar of yogurt, then sift in 2 jars of flour, 1 jar of potato starch, and 1 packet of baking powder. Mix on low speed until combined.
- Fold in two-thirds of the sautéed apples.
- Pour the batter into a buttered and floured cake pan. Top with the remaining apples.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 50 minutes.
