A spectacular tomahawk steak prepared Milanese-style: pounded thin, breaded with a coarse breadcrumb mixture, and fried in butter until golden and crispy. Served with Maldon salt for a perfect crunch.

Ingredients

- FlourFor dusting
- 3 pcsEggsOr 4 eggs
- BreadcrumbsFor breading, mixed with bread pieces
- BreadPieces of bread for coarse breading
- ButterFor frying
- Maldon SaltTo taste
Method
- Pound the tomahawk steak well with a meat mallet.
- Trim a little of the fat.
- Coat the steak in flour.
- Beat 3 or 4 eggs and turn the steak in the egg as you would an omelette.
- Prepare the breading by mixing breadcrumbs and bread pieces for a coarser texture.
- Dip the steak in the egg, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Optionally, double-bread for extra crunch.
- Heat butter in a pan until sizzling and fry the steak until golden.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Season with Maldon salt and serve immediately.
